As per the decision of CWC, AILRSA/WAT organised a demonstration program in front of DRM/WAT Office on 15.04.2024 from 15:00 hours to 19:00 hours for Signature Campaign against NPS & for reinstation of OPS & filling up of vacancies along with the local issues i.e. pathetic condition of VZM Running Room, against the denial of MGK, demanded to establish proper system of relieving & booking at VZM.
More than 300 running staff joined the demonstration program and the ECoRSU extended their support and their leaders joined the demonstration program and addressed the gathering.
After completion of the demonstration programme the gathering marched to DRM/WAT office with a huge rally with slogans. More than 100 running staff were present in the DRM/WAT office premises till meeting the AILRSA delegation to DRM/WAT & ADRM/WAT up to 20:30 hours. AILRSA delegation submitted the joint appeal on VZM issues which comprises of more than 650 running staff signatures along with AILRSA Memorandum on our demands.
DRM/WAT & ADRM/WAT responded very positively and assured that the problems of VZM Running Room and MGK issue & proper procedure of relieving and booking at VZM Running Room will be sorted out immediately.
