Coal industry pensioners meet with Singareni trade union leaders to discuss their pension problems

Today the problems of Singareni retired employees were discussed with Singareni recognized union, AITUC President Vasireddy Sitaramaiah, General Secretary Korimi Rajkumar and representative union, INTUC Secretary Generao B. Janak Prasad. Retired employees demanded a financial package, and told that the current limit of eight lakhs of rupees Contributory Post Retire Medicare Scheme (CPRS) is not enough for today’s medical services. Therefore, to increase the medical limit in line with today’s prices, the CPRMS Trust Board decided to arrange monthly medicines in Hyderabad. To implement the decisions made in the meeting, the state government should write a letter through the state chief minister to amend the Coal Mines Pension Act, which is owned by the central government, and increase the pension to the coal pensioners.

Responding to this, the trade union leaders promised to hold a special meeting with the central and state ministers soon and give them a report on the problems faced by the retired employees. In this meeting Singareni Retired Employees Welfare Association President Dandamraj Ramachander Rao, Deputy General Secretary Alavandar Venu Madhav, Coal Pensioners Association President K.R.C Reddy, General Secretary M. Baburao, former director J.V. Dattatreyulu, Narsing Rao, G Kanakaiah, Purna Prakash, Sairam Goud, Venkata Ramana, Madhava Reddy, AITUC leaders Vanga Venkat, Motapalukula Ramesh and others participated.
