All India Station Masters Association (AISMA) celebrated “Power Day” on 12th August all over India regarding its previously accepted demands and pending issues.
On this occasion, memorandums were submitted to the senior officials at the divisional headquarters in all the 69 divisions of the country regarding their demands.
The zonal body of station masters of Northern Railway celebrated Power Day in Srinagar on this occasion.
On this occasion, station masters from Firozpur, Ambala, Delhi, Lucknow divisions of Northern Railway as well as station masters from various stations of the valley also participated.
Apart from Chief Area Manager of Srinagar Mohd. Saquib Yousuf, all the traffic inspectors of the area also participated in the meeting and praised the work of the station masters and discussed safety aspects.
More than fifty station masters participated in this historic meeting of station masters held in Srinagar and on this occasion the Srinagar branch of Firozpur division of AISMA was also formed.
The main demands of the station masters include abolition of 12- hour roster, cadre structuring, appointment of additional station masters at busy stations, abolition of ceiling on night duty allowance, gazetting of the post of station manager.
On this occasion Sumir Aima GS/NR, Manoj Gupta CLS/AISMA, Ram Nagina ZSF/NR, Javed Usman DS/UMB, Dharamveer DP/DLI, Purushottam Jamwal DSF/FZR were prominently present.
