No, No, We Don’t Want The Darkness Of Prepaid Smart Meters!
The then Energy Minister and the current Chief Minister had assured in the House on July 3, 2024 that smart meters would not be installed for common consumers. But still, private companies are fraudulently installing prepaid smart meters in Thane and elsewhere in Maharashtra. We do not accept this arbitrariness! Smart meters are being strongly opposed in many places in Gujarat, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.
- Money will have to be paid in advance for smart meters. Once the recharge is over, the electricity supply will be automatically shut off. Even if you get an exorbitant bill due to smart meters, you will have to pay it first and only then your complaint will be addressed. In this way, so that the control of our basic needs does not go into the hands of private companies…….
