J&K Non-Gazetted Electrical Employees Association (JKNGEEA) held a rally of employees and workers today at Miran Sahib Electric complex Jammu in which large number of employees participated.
Md Maqbool, President and Gurmeet Singh, General Secretary explained the present anti-employee power policies and the disastrous effects of unbundling on the power sector and work force.
They demanded the immediate revival of old pension scheme, regularisation of daily wagers, holding of departmental DPC’s, releasing of ex-gratia for death cases in Power Development Department (PDD) and urged the employees to unite and intensify the struggle to save their hard-earned rights. Akhil ji, Bhupinder ji, Ajay Sharma also spoke in the meeting. The employees with one voice fully supported the holding of JKCCTU state conference at Jammu in February 25 and assured their full support to make the conference a big success.
