AIGC demands filling up of 20,000 vacancies of train managers and strengthening of safety organization at apex level

 

Report of the Central Working Committee Meeting of All India Guards Council (AIGC) by D Biswas, General Secretary

The Central Working Committee Meeting of All India Guards Council was held at H K S Surjeet Singh Bhavan, New Delhi on 21st & 22nd June, 2025.

The house in addition to its regular business passed the following resolutions:

  1. The Meeting condemned all anti-working & anti-people policies of the Government
  2. The AIGC expressed its total solidarity to the All India General Strike scheduled for 9th July, 2025
  3. The CWC demanded to fill-up the 20,000 vacancies of the Train Managers.
  4. The CWC demanded the Railway Ministry to strengthen the Safety Organisation at Apex level which was made defunct by Traffic & Electrical Departments.
  5. The CWC also demanded for 16 + 30 hours Periodical Rest, 16 + 2 Head Quarters Rest, 8+2 Out station rest

Com. K. Hemalatha, President / CITU addressed the participants and extended the support of CITU on the legitimate demands of the AIGC.
