Residents of Majnu ka Tilla, a jhuggi in Delhi, reveal that after smart meters were installed, their electricity bills have shot up to Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 40,000! They are receiving such high bills although they are using only a few fans and lights. The bills are so high that people are being forced to disconnect their power supply because they can no longer afford it! Smart meters are clearly a huge attack on the working class of the country.
