Message by All India Power Engineers Federation (AIPEF)
A decision was taken in the Mumbai meeting of the National Coordination Committee of Electricity Employees and Engineers (NCCOEEE) for a nationwide movement in protest to privatization and the Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2025. Power employees and engineers will form a strong front with the Samyukta Kisan Morcha, general consumers, and central trade union federations to conduct a powerful movement.
A massive demonstration at Jantar Mantar in the national capital Delhi on 30 January 2026, will be organised in which power employees and engineers from all provinces of the country will participate. If the ongoing privatization process in the states is not halted by 30 January 2026 and the Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2025 is not withdrawn, then in the rally on 30 January 2026 programs for a decisive struggle will be announced.
In preparation for the massive rally on 30 January 2026, and as part of mass awakening campaign amongst power employees, farmers, consumers, and the general public about the fatal consequences of the Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2025, as well as preparing for a decisive struggle, massive Bijli Maha Panchayat will be organized in all provinces of the country in November, December, and January.
A joint meeting of the central office-bearers of the National Coordination Committee of Electricity Employees and Engineers, national office-bearers of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha, and central office-bearers of All India Trade Union Federations has been called in Delhi on 14 December 2025. In this meeting, the strategy for the massive struggle will be prepared.
