Highlights of the press release:
- The Joint Platform declared its resolve to intensify the struggle against the four labour codes in a phased manner till they are completely withdrawn
- The Joint Platform will call a countrywide direct action including General Strike in February 2026
- The Joint Platform will coordinate with Sanyukt Kisan Morcha which is in struggle for their basic demands of MSP, loan waiver etc., and against the Seed Bill and Electricity Amendment Bill 2025
- The Joint Platform demanded that the government should learn lessons from the Indigo episode and immediately stop the hasty privatisation moves of public sector enterprises and government departments, including electricity, petroleum, railways, defence, telecom and banking, etc.
