Speech of Dr. Mathew (Secretary, Kamgar Ekta Committee) at the strike demonstration of Vashi circle electricity workers
On 12 February, Dr. Mathew, Secretary of Kamgar Ekta Committee (KEC), addressed electricity workers during strike demonstrations in Vashi, Maharashtra. Dr. Mathew asked: this is Viksit Bharat for whom? On the one hand, the rich are growing richer. On the other, workers’ hard-earned rights are being snatched. It is workers’ responsibility now to build unity across unions and sectors.
The present system is geared toward exploiting workers for maximum profit. Workers’ problems cannot be solved within this system. We have to establish a new society where we are the decision makers!
