Postal workers across states participated in the 12 February strike in large numbers. Notably, even part-time and casual workers participated. Among their main demands were withdrawal of the Post Office Act 2023, withdrawal of derecognition of AIPEU Group C union and NFPE, stopping victimization, filling up vacant posts, and stopping all outsourcing and corporatization in government departments.
