In various divisions across India, loco pilots organized demonstrations to oppose labour codes, privatisation, and corporatization and to demand filling of up vacancies and restoration of OPS. Gate meetings were held in front of loco pilots’ crew lobbies at different stations. In Vishakhapatnam, loco pilots participated in a huge rally.

As per the decision of the CWC/AILRSA, AILRSA/WAT organised Gate Meeting on date: 12.02.2026 from 10:00 hours onwards infront of BCHL, KRPU & RGDA in solidarity with the NATIONWIDE STRIKE call against Labour Codes, Privatisation & Corporatisation, Filling up of Vacancies, Restoration of OPS etc., given by Central Trade Unions.
The running staff who were available at headquarters joined and gave Solidarity Support to CTUs’ call before their respective Crew Lobbies through Gate Meetings. At VZM & VSKP the running staff who were off duty Joined the Rally program which was organised by CITU & other CTU at VZM & VSKP. At VSKP the Rally started from Saraswathi park Jn at 10:30 hours and continued up to GVMC Gandhi Statue and finally all Central Trade Union Leaders addressed the gathering. The Loco Running staff who were on duty were extending support by wearing Solidarity Support & Protest Badges while performing their duties.
