NCCOEEE to hold a convention on 10 march to oppose the proposed Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2025 and to strengthen the struggle for Right to Electricity

The government is planning to introduce and pass the Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2025 despite strong objections of electricity employees and engineers. The Bill will pave the way for further privatisation and fragmentation of the power distribution sector and adversely affect the accessibility and affordability of power for crores of consumers, particularly the poor, farmers and small consumers. United opposition of workers and consumers is required to stop this attack on the right to electricity.
