The fight against the privatisation of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has proved that, the privatisation of the Public Sector, by the government, can be successfully stalled, with the support of the people of this country. Hence, it is our important duty to massively mobilise the support of the people, to defeat the conspiracies to kill BSNL and also to save the Public Sector of this country.
Inspiring example of Vishakapatnam workers that show privatisation can be stopped and reversed. And just imagine if all the sector workers come together. It gives me goosebumps because it is so empowering and attainable. So let us work towards that goal and establish a system that will work for us and not against us✊🏽
The facts presented above are hard-hitting. BSNL has assets worth thousands of crores and the government wants to sell them to the private players at extremely low bidding. BSNL had all the necessary infrastructure to launch the 4G service way before any of these private companies like Jio, Airtel, Vodafone were in the picture to provide the 4G services.
The government has purposely denied BSNL from providing the 4G service to the people so that it could paint a poor picture of it in front of the nation and push for its privatisation.
This system clearly doesn’t care about the needs of the majority of the toiling masses but is only interested in fulfilling the agenda of the handful few. It doesn’t matter which party is in the power as years after years they have worked to increase the profits for the capitalist class of this country.
We need to unite with the employees of the PSUs and put up a strong fight against privatisation.
Firstly Iam glad to know that there is one single platform where all the people can come together and learn about struggles happening in different public sectors. I applaud all the working class people who are working tirelessly on anti privatisation drive irrespective of various attempts made by the government to crush it.
When I look at what is happening in different public sectors, there is a pattern observed. The ultra rich people are using government as a puppet to deploy their strategies. We all must fight against it till our last breath.
