Joint letter by All India Train Controllers Association, All India Station Masters Association, All India Railway S&T Maintainers Union, All India Pointsmen Association, Central Railway Track Maintainers Union and Kamgar Ekta Committee to the General Manager of Central Railway
The submission of a joint application for voluntary retirement from service by 72 loco pilots of the Mumbai Division of Central Railway have due to extremely stressful working conditions is a matter of serious concern for all workers and passengers of Indian Railways. Such unbearable work pressure endangers the safety of both passengers and rail workers. The railway administrations’ refusal to fill up large number of vacancies is a part of its drive to privatize the Indian Railways step by step. The privatization of the Indian Railways is not in the interest of crores of passengers and lakhs of rail workers. Only the united fight of Indian Railway workers can stop this anti-worker, anti-people privatization.
