The joint front of Federation of LIC Class I Officers’ Association, National Federation of Insurance Field workers of India (NFIFWI), All India Insurance Employees association (AIIEA) and All India LIC Employees Federation (AILICEF) have decided to observe 19th January 2022 as “Save Public Sector, Strengthen LIC Day” despite an overwhelming section of the public opinion opposing the IPO move, the government is going full steam ahead. Apart from LIC, a large number of public sector institutions have been lined up for disinvestment and privatisation under the garb of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
