The All India Defence Employees’ Federation (AIDEF) planned to have meetings with political leaders and people’s representatives to garner support against the Essential Defence Services Ordinance (EDSO) 2021. The EDSO takes away the right to strike of defence employees and is an attack on the fundamental rights of workers. The AIDEF has also circulated the minutes of the meeting of the National Council of Joint Consultative Machinery (JCM) held on 26 June 2020 for the information of all workers of government enterprises.
