In Lucknow, thousands of power employees surrounded Shakti Bhawan since morning of 23 January 2025. Neither the management nor the consultants could enter Shakti Bhawan, the place designated for bidding for appointment of consultant for privatisation of electricity distribution companies.
After paying tributes to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose power employees and engineers took pledge to continue and intensify fight till privatisation decision is withdrawn.
