Today on 30th January 2025 at 1:30 PM, a gate meeting and demonstration was organised by People’s Committee for Struggle Against Electricity Privatisation, Pune in front of Rasta Peth Mahavitaran Pune office against prepaid meters and privatisation.
The meeting was addressed by senior social worker Baba Adhav, Comrade Bhimashankar Pohekar of Maharashtra State Electricity Workers Federation, Nitin Pawar of Ang Mehnati Kashtakari Panchayat, CITU Pune District President Ajit Abhyankar, B Yuvraj and Sagar Dhanraj of Shramik Haq Andolan, Yogesh Ghorpade of Mahaurja Contractor Association, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Mr. Abhay Chhajed, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar Group) Sharavindra Malvatkar, Niharika Bhosale of New Socialist Initiative, Samajwadi Party Pune City General Secretary Datta Pakhire, Hamal Panchayat General Secretary Gorakh Mengade and Dr. Pradeep of Kamgar Ekta Committee.
A Memorandum was given to Pune Division Chief Engineer Mr. Rajendra Pawar on behalf of Privatisation Virodhi Jan Andolan Samiti.
