Indian Railways’ loco pilots, who ensure safe running of trains and ensure that passengers reach their destinations, are facing numerous unjust measures. One such unjust measure is regarding their salaries. As soon as the DA crossed 50 percent, other employees automatically received a 25 percent increase, but loco pilots were denied this. The injustice continued during the Sixth and Seventh Pay Commissions. Instead of the Mean Pay, the KMA is being determined based on the Minimum Pay, resulting in a loss of ₹2.50 per kilometer, or approximately ₹300 per day. This issue has been continuously raised with the Railway Board since June 12, 2024. For 27 months, the struggle has continued through letters, memorandums, demonstrations, hunger strikes, etc. This demand was also a key demand in the demonstration held in Delhi on March 27, 2026. We are presenting below a video on this issue.
