Report of All India Loco Running Staff Association (AILRSA) Pune
Due to the lack of any investigation or action on the pending complaints of loco running staff, members of the AILRSA team went to the Pune DRM office on 18 March 2026 to submit a memorandum for a strike. This protest was initially scheduled to begin on 23 March 2026, but the Senior DPO/PUNE refused to allow it, stating that a committee of all Senior Officers, headed by an ADRM, had been formed to address all complaints.
Along with this, it was also assured that this committee will start its work in the first week of April itself.
However, no committee was formed until 10 April. Consequently, loco running staff at all lobbies in Pune division have started a relay hunger strike since 14 April.
