On 12 June 2026, Federal Executive Meeting of the All India Power Engineers Federation (AIPEF) was held in KEB Engineers Association Silver Jubilee Hall, Bengaluru.
It is my privilege that Shri Basavanna, President, KEB Engineers Association invited me to attend in the capacity of Working President All India Federation of Electricity Employees (AIFEE).
This Federal meeting was attended by office bearers of 21 States of India. Shri Shailender Dubey Chairman of AIPEF chaired the meeting. All state constituents presented developments in their respective states, particularly about privatisation of Discoms.
All the engineers from across the country pledged their support to Karnataka power employees and engineers for their opposition to TATA Power Company application for parallel distribution license in the state. They are even ready for lightning strike if the call is given by the NCCOEEE.
I spoke about privatisation, Electricity Act 2003 and TATA Power’s application to KERC for permission to distribute power in 19 districts of Karnataka.
The meeting started at 11am and concluded at 7.30 in the evening. The hospitality was wonderful.
It was a nice and fruitful meeting as we heard from engineers from 21 States.
Thank you KEB Engineers Association for hosting such a beautiful well organised Federal Executive Meeting.
Regards
