BUCTU has announced a massive bike rally on August 9, 2023 in all districts and tehsils of Maharashtra to demand implementation of old pension, filling of vacant posts with permanent employees and other demands. In March 2023, a massive strike was called by the All India State Government Employees Federation to demand pension. At that time, Chief Minister Mr. Eknath Shinde had appointed a committee and asked it to submit a report in three months, but now that committee has been given an extension. BUCTU and its members are justifiably angry with this callous attitude of government.
BUCTU’s appeal to its members on this occasion is given below
(Translated from original Marathi Message)

Some states in India have implemented the old pension scheme for their employees. But since it was not applicable in Maharashtra, 1.7 lakh employees had to resort to indefinite strike. But as the said committee’s work is incomplete, it has been given extension.

In order to win it back, the All India State Government Employees Federation, which leads the State Government, Zilla Parishad, Semi-Government, Teachers, Non-Teachers, Class IV employees at the national level, has taken a bold decision to fight till end for the cancellation of NPS and implementation of the old pension scheme and other demands. .
