Report of Kamgar Ekta Committee (KEC) correspondent
On the call of Madhya Pradesh Vidyut Mandal Abhiyanta Sangh, the electricity workers of Madhya Pradesh boycotted work in the entire state on September 27 for resolution of their seven-point demands at the earliest. The agitation started on the night of September 25 itself when the electricity workers switched off their mobiles and from September 26, they started working under the work-to-rule.
Shri Vikas Shukla, General Secretary of Madhya Pradesh Vidyut Mandal Abhiyanta Sangh said that the boycott programme has been held successfully in the entire state. Despite repeated requests of the Madhya Pradesh Vidyut Mandal Abhiyanta Sangh and a written assurance given by the government in the meeting consequent to the agitation in June , the demands have not been resolved till date. Due to this, the electrical workers of the entire state are angry and are fully prepared for the strike from October 6 as per the upcoming action plan.
