AIFAP mourns the passing away of Comrade M. N. Prasad, President and ex- Secretary General of All India Loco Running Staff Association (AILRSA) on 11th of February 2024 at the age of 81.
Comrade M. N. Prasad was one of the founding members of AILRSA and worked tirelessly throughout his life for the rights of loco pilots of Indian Railways, to build AILRSA as a frontline fighting organisation of loco pilots and to build unity of rail workers in general.
AILRSA is one of the founding members of AIFAP. Comrade M. N. Prasad also played an important role in reconstituting the National Coordination Committee of Railwaymen’s Struggle (NCCRS) on 28th October 2021.
His passing away is a great loss for the loco pilots, rail workers and the working class in general.
