Demonstration against the policy of monetisation by URMU on 15 September

 

On the call of the National Federation of Indian Railwaymen/Northern Railway Mazdoor Union, URMU office bearers gathered at the gate of the Diesel Shed Tughlakabad on 15.09.21 at 12:30 pm, under the joint leadership of Branch Secretary Shri MP Singh and Branch President Shri SR Meena ji, to protest against the repressive policies of the centre. The chief guest of this programme, General Secretary Com. BC Sharma ji, Divisional Minister Com. Ramnik Sharma ji, Central Vice President Com. Manoj Kumar ji, Divisional Co-Secretary Shri Om Kumar ji, Divisional Co-Secretary Shri Gurdayal Singh ji, Divisional President of Kota Mandal Com. GP Yadav ji, Faridabad branch Branch secretary Mohd. SM Ali ji and a large number of railway workers were present.

While addressing the railway workers, URMU Diesel Shed Tughlakabad Branch Secretary Shri MP Singh said that the monetisation policy of the central government is harmful not only to railway workers but also to common citizens.

URMU office bearers demanded the restoration of the old pension scheme; immediate payment of arrears of all three instalments of dearness allowance; removal of ban on night allowance; stoppage of contractualisation in railways; ban on privatization and corporatisation of railways, trains, stations and production units; provision safety and basic facilities to the workers on duty; and immediate recruitment for vacant posts.
