Railway authorities object to the job analysis of loco pilots’ work by RLC

On 24.04.2024 the Regional Labour Commissioner (RLC), Chennai had called a meeting of senior railway authorities of Southern Railway and AILRSA to discuss how to carry out a joint factual job analysis to decide on the demand of AILRSA to classify Loco Pilots as Intensive category of workers under Hours of Employment Rules (HOER) of the Indian Railways. However, the railway authorities submitted their objections in conducting this job analysis by RLC.

AILRSA countered the objections of the railway authorities by submitting the below memorandum to the RLC on 13.05.2024. The next date for the joint meeting was fixed for 14.05.2024.
