On 15.05.2024, all the workers of Modern Coach Factory (MCF) Forged Wheel Plant, Rae Bareilly, U.P. went on a tool down strike to protest non-payment of their salaries for April 2024.
MCF, Rae Bareilly is a production unit of the Indian Railways.
The management was forced to release the salary of the workers on the same day by evening. 52 officers of the forged wheel plant also benefitted by the strike action of the workers as their salaries also got credited to their account!
