Electricity consumers of Nagpur have started a signature campaign against the installation of smart meters in the city under the banner of the All India Electricity Consumers Association, Nagpur.
They have also demanded that the privatization of the power sector must be stopped and the Electricity Amendment Bill (20220 must be withdrawn. They have emphasized that electricity is a basic necessity of life today and cannot be considered as a commodity for profit-making.
