Prompt agitation of loco pilots in Solapur division of Central Railway forced the railway administration to cancel unjust transfers

Report received from Solapur Division of All India Loco Running Staff Association (AILRSA)

Today on 16th September, in the Solapur division of Central Railway, Loco Pilot Goods (LPG) RK Bairwa refused to overshoot his headquarters duty, so he was transferred to Miraj, which is 352 km away from his headquarters Daund. His CLI (Chief Loco Inspector) was also transferred for not providing proper counselling.

After 12 pm, Com. Pintu Roy, Divisional Secretary of AILRSA, asked all the staff to immediately gather at the Daund headquarters lobby. Everyone collectively decided that no running staff will sign off or sign on till the transfers of the LPG and CLI were cancelled, and the entire lobby was closed.

The administration was given 2 hours, and when no decision was taken, all the running staff was asked to come with their families and a call was given to shut down the station.

Finally, the Honourable DRM sir cancelled the transfers of LPG Bairwa ji and CLI Tripathi ji around 2 pm and has called Com. Pintu and his colleagues for JPO tomorrow.

The unity of the loco running staff and leadership of Com. Pintu Roy made this agitation successful. AILRSA Zonal President Com. MK Tripathi has also warned all divisions of Central Railway to be prepared in case of an unfavourable result and administrative repression.

Long live AILRSA.
Long live the unity of loco running staff.
Revolutionary greetings to Comrades from Daund and Solapur.
