Decision of the Lucknow meeting of National Coordination Committee of Electricity Employees and Engineers (NCCOEEE) held today

An important meeting of the National Coordination Committee of Electricity Employees and Engineers was held in Lucknow on 11 December 2024. In this meeting, the attitude of both the governments regarding the privatization of the electricity department in Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh was discussed in detail. Com. Mahendra Rai, Secretary, was present in this meeting on behalf of All India Federation of Electricity Employees. Leaders of 7 major organizations of employees and engineers working in the power industry were present in this meeting.
In the meeting, the following program was decided to strongly oppose the decision taken by the government regarding the privatization of the electricity department of Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh:
- On 13th December, electricity employees, engineers and officers from all over the country will protest.
- On 19th December, electricity employees, engineers and officers from all over the country will protest.
- On 22nd December, all the organizations working in the power industry will hold a Mahapanchayat together in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh.
- On 25th December, all the organizations working in the power industry will hold a Mahapanchayat in Chandigarh.
- If the Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh governments take any decision to privatize the electricity department in the meantime, then all the employees, engineers and officers across the country will go on indefinite strike.
All the organizations and their leaders from across the country associated with the All India Federation of Electricity Employees are informed that the National Coordination Committee of Electricity Employees and Engineers should implement the program decided. This direction has been given by our General Secretary Comrade Mohan Sharmaji.
