On 4 April 2025, power employees protested entry of illegally appointed transaction consultant for privatization of UP DISCOMS in MD office of Varanasi & Agra. Massive demonstrations continued despite deployment of heavy Police force.
In Agra, protesters forced consultant to move out of office and closed the gate.
