Letter by South Central Railway Mazdoor union (SCRMU) to Railway administration
The Indian Railway Board has taken an illogical decision by making Assistant Loco Pilots (ALPs) carry Fog Safe Device (FSD) in all the seasons and in all the zones. This has further added to already heavy weight carried by them while going to the duty to railway engine. Till recently the FSD was required to be carried only during winter season.
