– Electricity today has to be treated as a fundamental right and not a product.
– The Government of India should first convince the nation that privatisation will solve all problems and competition will benefit the domestic consumer before privatising electricity distribution.
– Like agriculture, electricity is also too critical and fundamental. Even if the Government of India, using its majority in Parliament, pushes legislation, there will be sustained resistance as the nation has witnessed recently with the four farm laws.
