India’s post offices will remain closed
on 28 and 29 March

A general meeting was organised at the Head Post Office, Bistupur, Jamshedpur on 22/03/2022 at 5 pm, where it was decided to make the nationwide strike on 28-29 March against the government’s anti-worker policies 100% successful. This nationwide strike has been organised at the call of central leadership.

We request all comrades to participate wholeheartedly in this strike to make it 100% successful.

Our main demands are as follows:

 Scrap NPS – Restore OPS
 Payment of DA/DR arrears withheld from Jan 2020 to June 2021
 Stop privatisation move and opening of Franchise outlets and withdraw Dak Mitra scheme
 Grant Civil Service Status to Gramin Dak Sevaks & Regularise their service
 Withdraw “very good” bench mark for promotion – grant 5 MACPs in service time – remove 5% ceiling on compassionate appointments
 Complete cadre review in all departments
 Regularise CDS, Contract and Casual workers
 Fill up all vacant posts in all cadres
 Stop nodal delivery centres for delivery of parcel and central delivery centres of speed post letters

We urge all comrades to close their offices and gather at their head post offices to demonstrate against anti-worker policies.

This strike will decide our future. Specially, we request our young comrades to join in large numbers for the security of their future.
