Report by Kamgar Ekta Committee (KEC) correspondent

During the Working Committee meeting of NFIR held in Amritsar on 23 and 24 March, NFIR organised a big rally for the restoration of the old pension scheme in which thousands of railwaymen participated. The rally echoed with the slogan of “NPS Quit India”.

The many years old movement of employees for this demand has led to the announcement of the implementation of the old pension scheme by the governments of Rajasthan and Chattisgarh. Aam Admi Party (AAP) had talked about restoring old pension scheme in Punjab before it won the election.

The time has come to intensify the movement for removing the NPS and the restoring the old pension scheme so that all the state government and the central government are compelled to reimplement old pension scheme.
