The Singareni Colleries Workers Union (AITUC) led Struggle yatra for the protection of Singareni started on 27th April 2022 morning in Bellampalli area, Khairguda.
Singareni Colleries Workers Union General Secretary V. Sitaramaiah said that the yatra was launched for the protection of Singareni against the central government’s attitude towards privatization of Singareni new blocks. He also said that the state government should pay the arrears of Rs 24,000 crore to Singareni. He explained that the yatra would be held till May 9 to hold meetings on all the mines across Singareni and create awareness among the workers. Deputy General Secretaries Saraiya, Rajkumar and Y.V. Rao, Baji Saida and others participated.
