AITUC Deputy General Secretaries SK Baji Saida and K.Veerabhadrayya said that it was not right for a contractor to extract coal in OCP (open cast pit) even though there were sufficient workers, machinery, equipment and long experience in Singareni. They demanded that coal extraction through contractor must be stopped immediately.
A memorandum was handed over to the concerned authorities. Branch secretaries Mothukuri Komurayya, Kotte Kishan Rao, Chandra Mohan, G. Narsing M, Sudhakar, Mote Lachanna, N. Sattayya, Tirupati, Nambayya, Rangi Shetty Srinivas, Raja Mouli Bapu participated in the programme.
