The Puducherry Government has issued tender on 27.9.2022 for sale of 100% share of Electricity Division of Puducherry. 100% workers, engineers and officers have gone on an indefinite strike from 28.09.2022, to protest against the Puducherry government’s decision to give the entire power sector to private capitalists, to oppose the Puducherry government’s policy, and to support the interests of Puducherry’s electricity customers.
The National Coordination Committee of Electricity Employees and Engineers has supported the strike started by electricity workers in Puducherry. On 1.10.2022, 15 lakh engineers, officers and employees from all over the country will protest against the action of the Puducherry government by holding demonstrations across the country. All India Federation of Electricity Employees and Maharashtra State Electricity Workers Federation are part of the above organization, and therefore electricity workers, engineers and officials across the country and in Maharashtra should have strong protest demonstrations against the government’s action on 1 October 2022.
