Press Release
Promotions on vacant posts of executive engineers in the power corporation have been stopped for the last 2 months: promotions of nearly 15 assistant engineers are pending: this negative working system of the power corporation management is creating difficulties in the execution of departmental work:
In an arbitrary manner and with a view to harass engineers, promotions on vacant posts of executive engineers in the power corporation have been stopped for the last 2 months. It seems that promotions have been stopped only to harass engineers, which is against the law.
President of the Engineer Union Er. Rajiv Kumar Singh and General Secretary Jitendra Singh Gurjar said in the statement released today that the top management of the power corporation has employed an arbitrary manner to harass engineers, and assistant engineers are not being promoted to executive engineers although these posts are vacant for 2 months and the engineers have been selected according to DPC rules 3 months ago. Because of no promotions, employees are facing practical difficulties in executing departmental functions, and their morale is also being affected adversely. This matter has been explained to the Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) at a courtesy call on Tuesday, and a letter has been sent to the honourable Energy Minister today with an appeal to direct the concerned authority to issue the promotion list of engineers previously selected in DPC.
