On December 29, Shiv Gopal Mishra, General Secretary of the All India Railwaymen’s Federation, held a meeting with young conveners from across the country to review the trade union programmes as well as discuss in detail about the movement for restoration of old pension. General Secretary Shivgopal Mishra said that at present, the main issue for AIRF is the restoration of old pension. A strategy of agitation is being made for this, in which the youth have to participate from the front. The General Secretary said that the upcoming National Youth Day will be celebrated as “Old Pension Restoration Day” across the country on January 12. In such a situation, the young conveners should complete its preparation in their zone from now on.
