An important meeting of NJCA (National Joint Committee of Action)was held on & January 7, 2023 at the auditorium of JP Choubey Memorial Library at AIRF Headquarters in Delhi. In this meeting, 76 representatives of 50 organizations including both big federations of railways (AIRF and NFIR), defense (AIDEF and INDWF), postal (FNP), other organizations of central employees, as well as representatives of state government employee organizations and big teacher organizations in Delhi participated.
The common opinion in the meeting was that if the old pension is to be restored then this is the right time for the movement. Although they have nothing to do with political parties, still many parties have put pressure on the government by including pension restoration in their agenda. Not only this, they have also got success in elections in many places. It is now necessary that a big agitation should be done on this issue.
It was decided in the meeting that a big conference of representatives will be held at Pyarelal Memorial Hall on January 21, 2023 which will prepare a detailed declaration and hand it over to the government. The Parliament will be gheraoed during monsoon session if the government does not take a positive decision on the old pension soon.
It was decided in the meeting that even after this, if the government does not accept the demands of the employees, then Bharat Bandh will be announced in the month of September 2023.
