Electricity consumers along with leaders of Communist Party of India, AITUC, INTUC, Jay Vidarbha Party, Maharashtra State Electricity Workers Federation, other workers unions have come together to oppose the installation of smart electricity meters in Vidarbha by forming Prepaid (Electric) Meter Virodhi Nagrik Sangharsh Samiti at Nagpur.
