The Sustainable Harnessing and Advancement of Nuclear Energy for Transforming India Bill (SHANTI Bill) 2025 will open up major segments of the nuclear value chain to private operators. This marks a decisive shift towards privatisation of nuclear operations while putting the entire burden of risks on the people and the nation. The National Coordination Committee of Electricity Employees and Engineers (NCCOEEE), the Joint Platform of Central Trade Unions, and the Sanyukta Kisan Morcha have called for protest demonstrations at all workplaces and villages on 23 December 2025.

As decided in the joint meeting of NCCOEEE, Central Trade Unions and Sanyukt Kisan Morcha on 14th December, 2025, massive demonstrations are to be held on 23rd December 2025 against the draconian Nuclear Bill, draft Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2025 and ongoing privatization process in UP.
Please ensure demonstrations in all Districts/Projects along with Central Trade Unions and Sanyukt Kisan Morcha.
Remember the way government has placed and passed the draconian Nuclear Bill in the winter session of the parliament. In the same fashion, they may place and pass Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2025 any day in the coming Budget Session of the parliament.
It’s time to arise, awake and stand UNITED till the privatization spree and EA Bill is withdrawn.
