Assault on the Public Sector is three cornered

He explains in the article that the process of privatization which was set in motion in 1991 has taken different forms, initially Disinvestment followed by complete Privatization and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode and now National Monetisation Pipeline plan. He has pointed out how the Central government systematically crippled public sector enterprises with an aim of maligning them in the eyes of consumers thus creating a conducive environment for privatisation. He concludes that the comparison of public and private sectors based on the criterion of profitability should be challenged.
