J&K state employees submit charter of demands including restoration of old pension scheme, formulation of wage and regularization policy for all temporary workers and ensuring full trade union and labour rights for all employees and workers

A full extended State committee meeting of JKCCTU and Government Employees Pensioners Association was held at Hotel Jahangir, near Lal Chowk, Srinagar on 3rd November 2024 at 10.30 Am. The meeting discussed the present situation after formation of the democratically elected Government and the burning problems facing the employees and workers of the state including organisational issues in detail and chalked out the future programme of action.

The meeting was presided over by Md. Maqbool, President JKCCTU and attended by almost all state office bearers, state committee members, District presidents/ Secretaries and women sub- committee members throughout the state. The meeting prepared the demand charter to be submitted to the authorities, particularly to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and the concerned Ministers of the newly elected Government and took some important organisational decisions to gear up the organization to face the present challenges.
