Call of Haryana Electricity Employees and Engineers Joint Forum

HARYANA ELECTRICITY EMPLOYEES AND ENGINEERS JOINT FORUM
Date: 19 October 2026
Decisive Battle Announced Against Electricity Privatisation through parallel licencing in Nuh and Gurugram
The Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC), allegedly acting with the government’s backing, has taken an anti-people and anti-employee decision to grant a parallel electricity distribution licence to the private company Eleven Power for Gurugram and Nuh districts for a period of 25 years. The decision was taken just a day before Dussehra.
By handing over highly profitable, high-revenue areas to private hands, a conspiracy is being pursued to weaken and undermine the state-owned Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN).
In protest against this unjust decision, and to safeguard the rights of all power employees, engineers, farmers and ordinary consumers across Haryana, the Haryana Electricity Employees and Engineers Joint Forum has announced the following programme of struggle:
Schedule of Agitation and Protest Programmes
20 October 2026 at 11 AM
Effigies of Union Power Minister Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini and HERC Chairman Shri Mukesh Garg will be burnt across the state.
