Coal pensioners plan a month-long mass protest at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi to bring pension issue to the attention of the Central Government

At the call of All India Coal Pensioners Association (AICPA), Singareni Retired Officers Welfare Association and All India Association of Coal Executives Hyderabad held a meeting of Coal India Singareni retired employees on 14th April 2022 from 10 am to 1.30 pm at Godavary Reddy Cultural Association hall in Musarambag at Hyderabad. There was a discussion on the steps to be taken to solve the problems of coal pensioners.

AICPA convenor Sri P K Singh Rathore said he had called for a month-long mass protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi from July 24 for a month to bring the pension issue to the attention of the central government. He asked the parliamentarians of the coal producing states in the country to submit a petition and write a letter to the Coal Ministry through them. He said the petition had already been submitted to 57 MPs. The meeting was attended by about 150 retired employees from Coal India and Singareni. The medical camp was organized with the courtesy of Care Hospital.

The CGHS scheme was also discussed.

Sri Vasudeva Rao, Dattatreya, KRC Reddy, Baburao, Venu Madhav, Ramappa and some retired employees of Coal India spoke on the occasion.
