INDEFINITE POWER STRIKE TO CONTINUE IN PUDUCHERRY
Immediately after publication of Puducherry Power Department privatization RFP tender, all power employees and engineers of Puducherry Power Department went on indefinite strike from the morning of 28 September.
Today meeting was convened by Secretary Power but nothing fruitful came out of it. Engineers and employees of Puducherry are firm on the decision to continue strike.
I request all the unions of electricity workers and engineers of all the provinces across the country to strongly support the strike of Puducherry electricity workers through letters & Twitter and if the Government of Puducherry tries to suppress the strike in anyway then we should be prepared to give befitting reply.
On behalf of NCCOEEE I assure power employees of Puducherry that Power Employees and Engineers all over the country are with them and will resort to whatever is required.
