It is your united and determined struggle which has forced the Government of Maharashtra to take a step back and concede your main demand of stopping power sector privatisation moves. You have also forced the government to commit more than rupees 50 thousand crore for strengthening the public sector of electricity.
Maharashtra government even tried to crush your struggle by threatening you with the use of draconian MESMA. But your militant unity across all sections of power sector employees and growing public support for your struggle forced the state government to back down.
